Up To Something Good - Starkville is full of “do-gooders.” They are constantly at work, but many times their work goes unnoticed. Who are these unsung heroes? They are members of local service clubs.
Youth Summit - General Colin Powell has a vision, and it is coming to Starkville. His vision is to save every at-risk child in America from growing up abused, neglected, unskilled or addicted to drugs or alcohol.
Habitat for Humanity - This organization has a great ministry in our community, and is one of our United Way agencies. Despite Habitat’s success, many myths persist about what Habitat is and what it isn’t.
Starkville Goals Conference - What can we do as individuals to make a difference in our community? How can we bring people together to solve problems? How can citizens become more involved in the decisions that affect us all?
United Way - We can do more together than we can separately. That’s the main idea behind United Way, and that’s why giving to the United Way of North Central Mississippi makes such a big difference.
Nuts and Bolts about United Way - United Way achieves what one charity alone cannot – it assures the availability of a broad network of necessary human care services for our community. Since United Way monitors our community’s needs, it is able to invest contributions where they’re needed most in both well-known and less familiar agencies.
United Way Campaign in Full Swing - To attract students and faculty to Mississippi State University, we need a strong, healthy community. Supporting United Way is one way we can help strengthen our community.
